Best TV of anyone I know
I was initially skeptical about purchasing this TV from Sam's Club because they were only selling 9 of them - and not removing any from the boxes to display. In other words, I bought this TV on blind faith and the strong recommendation from the store associate. And I'm extremely glad I took his advice.
The picture on this TV is brilliant in High Def. It's very bright, crystal clear, and truly beautiful. It literally has the best picture of any TV I shopped for, including the Sony's and Samsung's. My grandfather watched the NCAA basketball tournament with me last year and during every commercial he would remark, "LG: Life's Good" because we were enjoying ourselves so much watching the games on the TV (with a Bose 321 home theater system attached). Even several months later, I still love watching HD football and NASCAR races on it. It just doesn't get any better with the superb LED-LCD picture quality.
Lately I have been getting a lot of use out of the USB input slots, too. I've started recording a lot of HD videos with new Flip Mino and Kodak Zi10 HD cameras over the past month and both of those cameras have a USB output on them. Well, all I have to do is plug them directly into the side of this TV and my newly recorded videos automatically start playing in HD. No more burning DVDs or complicated transferring of media from one device to the other. This TV is simply plug and play.
Switching between inputs is easy, even with the universal cable remote that I use with the TV. I have 2 HDMI cables, standard coax, standard video, and fiber optic audio cables all plugged in and had no problems with setup or use.
The TV is surprising flat and lightweight too.
The bottom line is that this is the best TV of any of my friends and family. It's the best picture you can get, outside of some hugely expensive 3-D setup. And using a small Bose 321 home theater system (with just 2 speakers) is perfect for my living room viewing experience. No problems or issues at all. Can't recommend this TV at this price high enough. Easy worth double.

Expectations Run High
When you spend $1500 on a piece of technology you have certain assumptions and expectations about it. You do your research the best you can and hope that your purchase will be everything you hoped it would be. Occasionally, you are thrown for a loop and presented with some challenges that you didn't anticipate. That's what happened to me when I picked up this excellent TV. My old Sony LCD did not have HDMI ports, so I was relegated to the spaghetti bowl of component hookups to achieve high definition. I just had to have a TV with HDMI, so when I was finally in the market I knew it would have to be at least 46", LCD or something comparable, full 1080p, and have plenty of HDMI ports on it. With the exception of one small issue, this TV is everything I wanted.
I must say that the Samsung UN46C6500 LED TV is astonishing to look at. The colors are rich and saturated, black levels are the blackest I've ever seen, and the images are crisp and clear. The screen is a glossy finish, so it does reflect any light you might have in the room, but it's not overly distracting. The panel itself is super thin, only about one inch thick. The stand is very sturdy. Touch sensitive buttons line the lower right hand corner of the panel (kind of hard to see, but they're responsive). The bezel has a brushed matte charcoal grey strip covering a transparent acrylic (very elegant).
The one problem I have with this TV is not listed anywhere except inside the manual. I didn't see any other documentation or warnings about this, so I was a little disappointed when I encountered it. This TV is not compatible with HDMI versions older than 1.3. My old Onkyo receiver (TX-SR604) came with HDMI 1.1, so the TV would not display images through it. I had always thought that HDMI was backwards compatible. It's not on this TV, and the manual clearly says that if you have any components with HDMI versions older than 1.3 you may have issues with sound and video. Beware.
Because I was so disappointed that I would not be able to use HDMI through my receiver, I decided to upgrade to the Denon AVR-791 (which supports HDMI 1.4 and is 3D ready). Even though I'm another $500 poorer, I'm an extremely happy camper. Watching Avatar on blu-ray with this setup is truly amazing. The TV performs wonderfully and is otherwise exactly what I was wanting. I have not ventured into the internet TV features, but that's on the horizon. Unfortunately, the TV is not wifi compatible (unless you buy a USB adapter), so you'll need to use an ethernet cable (I actually knew this before buying).
Samsung makes incredible LCD and LED TV's. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high definition viewing experience. Hopefully, my review will educate and warn those with older components. HDMI is the way to go, but you can always fall back on component cables if you have to. That just wasn't an option for me. When all is said and done, I don't regret my purchase at all. The end result was well worth the journey.
Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch 32 GB Android Tablet AT105-T1032 Black

Super Innovative, Best tablet yet!
I've had the 16gb Thrive for 3 days now. The Thrive is in my opinion the best tablet available. The things that set it apart from other tablets are: Removable battery, Full size HDMI port, Full size USB 2.0 port as well as a mini USB port. All on board with no dock or adapters necessary. You can take your SD card right out of your camera and plug it in to the Thrive ( Handles up to 128 GB SDXC, what?!!) . Toshiba was smart enough to include a file manager that makes it super easy to move data or media between the tablet and SD card or external hard drive, etc. Running Honeycomb 3.1 right out of the box as well. The wifi is the best I have seen, better than any device in my house and I have a lot. Tethers to my Android phone with no problem. The audio is the best I have heard on a tablet.Toshiba worked with SRS and it shows. (One note, the default volume levels are low. Go into settings and adjust right away) The screen is better than the Xoom but not quite as good as the Samsung (in my opinion) and it seems to do better with higher quality and higher resolution content. Looks phenomenal when viewing pictures from my Canon Digital with an L lens. Color accuracy is excellent, not just oversaturated like some other tablets.
The screen response is great. Ran a multitouch test and it recognizes 4 separate touch points simultaneously. 2mp front camera and 5 MP back camera are both very good with good lighting. All in all this tablet offers more interoperabilty than anything on the market. It charges really fast, 90% in 90 minutes. Very, very happy with my decision to go with the Thrive. I had considered the Asus but with the horrific build quality issues and lightbleed I decided against it. I am so glad I waited because Toshiba got it right, right out of the box! This thing is solid! No creaking or flex. No loose bezel. Zero lightbleed. A tablet is the sum of all its parts and in the words of Charlie Sheen, #Winning!
Update: 14 hrs today on the battery with fairly heavy surfing and some music and video. The battery gave me 6-7 hrs the first few charges. Wow, I didn't think it would improve this much! Really happy with the Thrive!
